Northwest Cultural Council
of Illinois Showing Works by Marv Poulson of Salt Lake
City
As part of the Northwest Cultural Council's project
'Through the Looking Glass' three works by Salt Lake
Photographer Marv Poulson will be exhibited
capturing the surreal or fanciful aspect of nature.
Marv is showing 'Canyon Autumn Reflection H I', a
magically surreal reflection study in a still canyon
pool proves how reality can transcend in the minds
eye. The second image in this suite, titled
'Rivulet Shimmer I', brings early skylight to meet
thin flowing water over red sandstone. Then to
the third photograph, 'Reflection V II', seems to
merge departing storm clouds with the earth in a
still slick rock pothole.

Each of
Marv's photographs challenges the viewer to reach
through the looking glass of their imagination to
understand some of natures intimacy. These
images can be reviewed on the WEB at: 'Canyon
Autumn Reflection H I', 'Rivulet
Shimmer V I', 'Reflection
V II'
